The Warehouse Officer position operates within the warehouse, Yard and other areas within the mine.
This position supports the effective management of the day-to-day warehouse functions including receiving deliveries, unpacking of freight, receiving, and issuing of parts and materials as well as stock taking.
Key Performance Areas
- Picking of orders requested by end users for operational requirements.
- Goods receipting of stock purchases and direct purchases.
- Prepare shipments to travel to OEMs and supplier workshops for offsite repairs.
- Participate in stocktake and cycle count activities.
- Maintain relationships and as service-based approach with operations-based teams.
- Receipting on Pronto System of all delivery notes and invoices.
- Liaise with purchasing teams to confirm order status and resolve purchasing issues.
- Liaise with Suppliers to resolve short supply and over supply issues.
- Deliver goods ordered as direct purchase to end users.
- Weekly counts of bulk consumables- such as fuel, reagents and grinding media
- Ensure appropriate storage of products and parts as per the company standards and stock rotational requirements.
- Archive all paper-based records such as delivery notes and consignments notes.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and requirements at all times.
- Maintain high level of housekeeping.
Technical Competencies

Qualification & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain management of similar relevant discipline.
- Membership of a Procurement Professional body (CIPS)
- Valid Light Duty Vehicles Driver’s License.
- 3+ years of experience within the mining operations industry
