Warehouse Administrator (3 years Contract) Francistown

Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting to the Inventory Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Inventory team by maintaining accurate stock information, planning and coordinating material deliveries and issues, ensuring timely and cost-effective replenishment of material, organizing quarterly and annual cycle counts of inventory materials, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers and generation of reports.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Executing day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, handling, storage and issuing of BOFINET material
  • Maintaining best practice warehousing warehouse standards and quality management systems by running frequent inspections, testing and quality on received inventory.
  • Engage in methods and techniques that optimize inventory storage and time management.
  • Ensuring accuracy of stock by conducting frequent physical and cycle stock counts.
  • Improving customer service levels and experience by logging and reporting all issues to the supervisor.
  • Experiential knowledge and understanding of supply chain management processes and systems
  • Operational understanding of stock management or warehousing policies, process and layout
  • Distribution and Logistics
  • Possess a working knowledge of the inventory management strategy, processes and systems
  • Understand the key issues in designing and adopting inventory management systems

Academic Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have attained the following:

 

  • Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Materials Management, inventory
  • Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or related field.
  • Membership of a professional body would be an added advantage (e.g. CIPS)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

 

Experience: Two (2) years post graduate experience within an Inventory and Materials Management function.
