 In its pursuit to become a Competitive Commercial Power Utility within the Region, Botswana Power Corporation invites applications from suitably qualified, highly energetic, dynamic, result oriented, innovative, and customer focused individuals, who believe they can be part of a great team that delivers power to Botswana to apply for the below listed position not later than 11th September 2024. 

Main purpose of the position

To maintain tools and equipment store in a neat and tidy condition and to issue tools, equipment and consumables in accordance with procedures. Inspects goods delivery lists, gathers goods and transports them.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works within current compliance processes, systems and procedures and reports shortcomings.
  • Controls access to the tool storeroom to ensure security of tools and equipment.
  • Maintains a register of appliances, tools and equipment that have been issued and returned to ensure availability.
  • Repairs minor defects on tools and appliances before issue.
  • Cleans and maintains tool room in a tidy manner.
  • Inspects tools and equipment and reports on damages or missing tools and equipment to the supervisor
  • Transfers old equipment and tools to the external storage room, controls access.
  • Interacts courteously to exchange information.
  • Works according to an assigned schedule.
  • Files and retrieves documents from established filing systems.
  • Prepares requisition orders for consumable spares in accordance with set inventory levels and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Atleast BGCSE  or equivalent
  • A valid Class B Drivers licence

Experience

  • Direct Entry
  • Exposure to an Inventory Management will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft package is desirable.
