Summary
Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Team Leader, the position will be responsible for carrying out service, repairing and modification on electrical and instrumentation plant, equipment and control systems in accordance with the set specifications, standards and safety procedures to ensure optimal plant through accurate and reliable operation.
Description
The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:
- Complying with electrical and instrumentation protocols and third-party requirements.
- Complying with SHEQ protocols for continuous improvement.
- Undertaking corrective action from SHEQ and QMS audits.
- Implementing engineering plans and assignments as directed.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and service of instrumentation equipment and control systems in line with engineering standards and in accordance with works schedule.
- Ensuring calibration of instrument in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and maintaining accurate calibration records.
Minimum Requirements
The right candidate will possess the following minimum requirements:
- A Diploma in Instrumentation and Controls or equivalent.
- A member of ERB in good standing with a valid practising certification.
- Class B Driver’s licence is an added advantage.
- At least three (3) years post apprenticeship experience in an engineering maintenance environment preferably in the manufacturing sector.
