Role Purpose
Reporting to Senior Registration Officer, the successful candidate will be assigned to carry out teacher registration processes including the end-to-end teacher registration process within delegated responsibilities from application processing, approvals, rejections, de-registration, registration appeals, renewals and providing teacher support services whilst ensuring adherence to procedure and set targets.

The main duties include but are not limited to:

Screen applications for registration and renewal upon receipt ensuring compliance with standards.

Complete, collate and compile information and receipts as per procedure.
-
Register compliant applications according to set processes and procedures.
-
Produce daily list of completed registrations.
-
Produce record of pending and rejected registrations along with justifications.
-
File records in a practical yet accessible records system for the unit.
-
Send out standard correspondence to acknowledge receipt of documentation from applicants.
-
Request additional documents to support received applications.
-
Refer registered applications for licensing, or Teacher development according to status and needs.
-
Pro-actively communicate any delays, hurdles in the registration process, giving suggestions to minimise delays.

Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports including statistics on teacher registration for submission to immediate supervisor.

Generate and analyses statistical data and draft reports accompanied by suggestions and recommendations.

Provide information and first line support services to teachers on the registration process including responding to enquiries on the status of their registration application or appeal.

Resolve routine registration queries/ questions and escalates unresolved issues, queries, and appeals.

Promptly escalate any issues that cannot be resolved on registration to one of the supervisors.

Monitor office stocks and initiates requisitions for office requirements as needed.

Serve as the first level of unit support on the computer system in use and work with IT to ensure any registration system related issues are timely resolved.

Qualifications and Experience
-
A Degree in Education Management / Education Research or related fields.
-
A minimum of two (2) years post qualifying experience.
