The Job
The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following;
- Develop a Biosafety/biosecurity, quality and SHE educational program for staff at the BVI to ensure safety of staff and environment.
- Maintaining the international and national Biological Safety Standards,
- Developing and supporting documented quality management systems and tools to support implementation.
- Creating awareness of the biosafety/biosecurity and SHE standards across the production departments and ensuing compliance.
- Ensuring the investigation of all Biosafety/Biosecurity spills/exposure incidents, as well as, developing and implementing of corrective action plans.
- Reviewing and maintaining Biosecurity, Quality Health Safety and Environment Management Systems in line with evolving industry standards, Additionally, ensuring Good Manufacturing Practice and third-party requirements.
Minimum Requirements
The Person
The right candidate will possess the following minimum requirements:
- A minimum of a BSc in Biological sciences or a Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline.
- Prof./Tech Certificate/working knowledge Quality Management System ISO 9001, ISO 45001,
- ISO/IEC17025. GMP and quality auditing skills.
- A minimum of five (5) years in Quality Management in production or manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of one (1) year in supervisory or management role.
