Senior Radiation Therapist Job at Sir KETUMILE MASIRE TEACHING HOSPITAL

Main Job Purpose:

• Facilitates implementation of departmental goals and objectives in close collaboration with the Medical Physics department

• Manages staff (Radiation therapist + Nurses) and resources to ensure the most positive outcomes for the patient

• Reviews departmental performance (patient flow, effectiveness of the staff, compliance issues and work methods) in liaison with Medical Physics department

• Obtains all marrow biopsy specimens and reports all significantly abnormal blood films

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Radiation Therapy/ Radiography + Full time Radiation Therapy Fellowship

• Minimum 3 years experience at a Managerial level

• At least 5 years experience in a unit with VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arch Therapy), 3D Treatment technique, SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery) and brachytherapy treatment technique
