Main Purpose of the Job
The Secured Lending Sales Consultant at Botswana Savings Bank plays a critical role in managing relationships with dealerships and estate agents, driving sales, originating loans, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the secured lending portfolio. The primary focus of this role is to proactively engage with key partners, identify sales opportunities, and facilitate the loan origination process to meet customer needs effectively.
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships and estate agents to drive business opportunities and referrals.
Collaborate with partners to understand their needs, provide product information, and address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
2. Sales and Business Development:
Actively prospect for new business opportunities and identify potential customers for secured lending products.
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive loan origination volume.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and opportunities for growth in the secured lending market.
3. Loan Origination:
Guide customers through the loan application process, assess their financial needs, and recommend suitable lending solutions.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the loan origination process.
Work closely with internal teams to expedite loan approvals and facilitate timely disbursement of funds.
4. Customer Service:
Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Follow up with customers to gather feedback, address concerns, and maintain long-term relationships with a focus on customer retention.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
Track and report on sales performance, loan origination volume, and key performance indicators to management.
Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in sales, business development, or relationship management within the financial services industry, with a focus on secured lending products.
Strong understanding of lending products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
