RESPONSIBILITIES

–       Managing sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.

–       To meet/ achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in the country

–       Supervise branch managers and ensure optimal branch productivity

– Manage Call Centre team

–       Manage and develop the team to meet/exceed new prospect sales and retention goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

–       Monitor daily operations to ensure processing of loans with high standards of accuracy and in compliance with operating system guidelines.

–       Prepare regular (monthly, quarterly, and annual) reports

–       Conduct branch audits on a monthly and quarterly basis and ensure all action points are closed within agreed timelines

–       Manage centralized procurement for all branches

–       Liaise with IT department to ensure all required IT infrastructure is in place and functional at all times

–       Recommend strategies for improving operations of the sales department and image of the brand.

–       Liaise with marketing to develop and execute campaigns and tactical plans to support the business sales strategy and communicate the progress both internally and externally

–       Proactive assessment, clarification and validation of customer needs on an ongoing basis

–       Ensure customer service is at the highest levels and the brand is promoted

–       Maintain an expert level of understanding of all products and services offered by the company and reporting of competitive position in the market.

–       Create a strong workforce by developing competent individuals in the branch operations team

–       Delegate tasks to members of the branch teams and ensure that daily tasks are executed and reported accurately

–       Ensure ongoing training of the whole sales team

–       Identify, attract and pursue prospective customers through optimal utilization of sales team

–       research and develop marketing opportunities and plan by understanding customer requirements, identifying market opportunities, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the companies marketing goals

–       Ensure regulatory compliance with all sales and branch activities.

–       Ensure recruitment, retaining and development is taking place within Botswana sales team to ensure the country succeeds in achieving results.

–       Maintain clear communication lines and a sense of camaraderie with sales team from a distance.

REQUIREMENTS

–      Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing or related field.

Other tertiary qualification in business or related field is advantageous.

– Valid Class B driver’s license

–      Three (3) to five (5) years sales experience in finance field or equivalent with proven track record

–     Previous experience in Microfinance, financial services or insurance sector will be advantageous.

–     Experience in customer relationship management

Experience in managing & directing a sales teams

–       Understanding of business software tools including ERP, Service Desk and BI tools , DMS and OSSNET

–       Proficiency in MS Suite applications

In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics

–       Excellent verbal and written communication skills
