The National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) is a body corporate established under the National Arts Council of Botswana Act, No. 10 of 2020.The Council’s mandate is to develop, promote and protect the creative and cultural sector of Botswana through policy, legislation, industry facilitation and various partnerships, programmes, grants, and initiatives. The Council aims to transform the local creative and cultural sector by nurturing excellence and preserving the Nations rich cultural traditions with the goal of building an inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous sector.

RECORDS OFFICER

Reporting to Administration Executive

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To collect, file, archive, monitor, and control the movement of manual records of the Council as well as digitalization of records.

  • Adherence to records management policies and procedures.
  • Prompt receipt, delivery and filing of records.
  • Confidential and secure handling of records.
  • Cleanliness and orderliness of filing room.
  • Digitised manual records.
  • Security and confidentiality of records.
  • Adherence to records management systems.
  • Availability and tracking of records.
  • Orderly records office and archives.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Records Management or related field. Basic computer literacy.
At least two (2) years records administration experience.
