BACKGROUND
Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) has an exciting career opportunity for an innovative, results-oriented and self- driven individual. We are looking to fill the position of PUBLIC RELATIONS & MARKETING OFFICER.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The incumbent is responsible for organizing and coordinating the Public Relations & Marketing Strategies and Plans to achieve strategic goals of the Institute. Increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, retention and engagement while ensuring consistency of brand messaging. In line with the above, the key responsibilities of the Public Relations & Marketing Officer include;
•Leads the production and delivery of key messages defined in the marketing and communication strategy across all functions, and media platforms including development of organisational documentation.
•Manage brand appeal according to brand manual and governance.
•Working with the Manager Communication & Council Secretary, responsible for the co-ordination, delivery and reporting of all co-op/affiliate marketing campaigns, maximising income, data capture and ROI.
•Liaises closely with advertising agencies to ensure that appropriate advertising material is developed in-line with product and brand campaigns.
•Support and lead PR & Marketing’s Day to Day management and execution of social and digital media presence (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln and YouTube)
•Visits potential customers and communicates product and service related information through community meetingsand direct marketing campaigns such as door-to-door campaigns.
•Represents BICA at seminars, marketing campaigns and trade exhibitions in order to market the products and services of the Institute.
•Coordinate public relations activities and communications including radio, press releases, social media, company literature, editorial calendars, articles, announcements and media kits. Coordinate content for all advertising material which includes radio, online, print and digital based on the integrated PR & Marketing Strategy.
•Execute PR & Marketing campaigns (product and brand) as per the marketing campaign schedule.
•Monitors and conducts impact reviews of Marketing and Communication campaigns, makes recommendations on future marketing interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
Recognized Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or Equivalent.

Experience
•At least three (3) years post graduate experience in corporate communications or marketing environment.
•Basic understanding of graphic design or equivalent design programs.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
•Experience and knowledge of Social Media Network platforms and campaigns in growing and engaging customer base.
