Project Supervisor Interns *2 (2 Year Contract)

 

Main Purpose of the Job:

Reporting to the Project Manager – Small Works & IRUs, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation, supervision & completion of a particular strategic project work package in order to ensure the overall mission of BoFiNet is achieved.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day or real-time supervision of the execution of tasks and outputs within agreed timelines. Ensure delivery of high-quality work in an efficient manner by breaking objectives into tasks, scheduling, guiding and maintaining discipline.
  • Match resources to the process or operational requirements and creatively use resources to complete work efficiently.
  • Review data to measure and review productivity and quality against other teams. Increase productivity by setting stretch targets, and adapting or modifying work plans/schedules/methods and tracking to assure quality.
  • As project/s leader, the incumbent shall be responsible for overall project performance (coordination, planning, tracking, reporting, quality) of a project across multiple functions/processes, using project management methodology, systems and tools. Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned,
  • To oversee/execute all 6 project facets across multiple projects or a program.
  • Enforce contractors/supplier contractual conditions and incorporate into tender documents,
  • Ensure production and incorporation of sub-programmes in the master programme,
  • Provide formal progress reports for the project,
  • Control changes to the quality plan and time program and manage implementation of corrective action,
  • Establish quality management plan and persons responsibilities for implementation,
  • Monitor implementation of quality assurance and report on obligations,
  • Monitor and record information flow against the agreed information flow programmes
  • Ensure all documents are filed in a systematic manner to ensure easy retrieval.
  • Establish a risk register in terms of possible risks and their anticipated probabilities,
  • Establish potential responses to risks in terms of avoidance, transfer or mitigation,
  • Monitor and update the risk register on a regular interval and take early corrective action as required including changes to scope if applicable
  • Perform complex tasks and identify new applications from current processes and understanding.
  • Respond to client requests, concerns, complaints and resolve, suggest changes, identify, analyse and gather relevant client information.
  • Generate document (plans, drawings, sketches, specifications, standards, procedures, process flows, guidelines), approved/signed off, register, file and index, distribute, maintain (revise, re-approve, de-register).

Academic Qualification and Experience

The candidates should have attained the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computing/Engineering/Project Management or related field. A professional qualification such as PMP/PRINCE2 Practitioner would be an added advantage.
  • Five (5) years post qualification experience within an ICT environment.
  • Operational knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, quality management and area of expertise
