MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Under the supervision the Project Manager (PM), the Project Assistant/ Finance will provide finance and administrative support in implementation of the project in line with the approved project outputs and outcomes.
REMUNSTATION: PIS, 328.06 per month (inclusive cf Medical Aid.
PAYE and gratuity)
leave DAYS:2 5 working days per annum (to be utilized during
the contract period)
CONTRACT DURATION: One year renewable qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance /Accounting / Business Administration or other related field. Project Management will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years experience in
administrative work, Accounting. At least two years’ previous experience in development assistance or related work for a donor organization, consulting company or United Nations will be an added advantage.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
i) Asset the Project Manager in day-to-day management and oversight of project activities.
H) Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in matters related to Monitoring and Evaluation and Knowledge Resources Management.
iiij Assist in the preparation of progress reports.
iv)Ensure ail project documentation (progress reports, consulting and other technical reports, minutes of meetings, etc.) arc property maintained in hard and electronic copies in an efficient and readily accessible filing system, for when required by PB, TAG. UNDP, project consultants and other PMU staff
v)Provide PMU-related administrate and logistical assistance.
vi)Keep records of project funds and expenditures, and ensure all project- related financial documentation are well maintained and readily available when required by the Project Manager
vii)Review project expenditures and ensure that project funds are used In compliance with the Project Document and Gol financial rules and procedures;
viii)validate and certify FACE forms before submission to UNDP;
lx) Provide necessary financial Information as and when required for project management decisions;
») Provide necessary financial information during project audit(s)
x>) Review annual budgets and project expenditure reports, and notify the Project Manager if there are any discrepancies or Issues;
xil) Consolidate financial progress reports submitted by the responsible parties for implementation of project activities
xiii) Liaise and follow up with the responsible parties for implementation of project activities in matters related to project funds and financial progress reports
