Main Purpose of the Job
ODC is seeking an experienced Operations Production Manager to oversee the diamond production process from start to finish. This role ensures that the highest quality standards are met across ODC’s production operations and that products are delivered to customers on time and with consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor operational systems for efficiency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diamonds.
• Align production with ODC’s strategic goals and improve operational systems for greater efficiency.
• Oversee systems that ensure all products meet ODC’s strict quality standards and Government Selling Assortment (GSA) requirements.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to drive product quality and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
• Oversee sales lot valuations, calculate rough diamond values, and prepare price adjustments based on market trends.
• Manage stock control processes, month-end stock reconciliations, and work closely with the security team to mitigate risks.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a diamond production environment, with at least 3 years at a managerial level.
• Deep understanding of rough diamond sorting, valuation, and sales assortments. Expertise in stock management systems, regulatory compliance, and process improvement.
