Description
The incumbent assumes overall responsibility for overseeing and optimizing procurement processes within the Bank. The role holder also Ensures rigorous controls are in place to safeguard against malpractice in the Bank’s supply chain management processes. The incumbent will be tasked with establishing a proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering strategic vendor relationships to drive sustainable growth and value for the Bank.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the Bank’s objectives.
- Monitoring Procurement compliance to the Bank’s annual budget.
- Source and manage suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify, assess, and report on procurement risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee procurement processes, including purchase orders, supplier evaluations, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance.
- Implement systems and processes to track and measure supplier performance regularly.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to optimize procurement decisions.
- Manage and resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes in a timely manner.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies

Minimum Qualification
- A degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a procurement qualification attained from CIPS (Level 5/6)
- A postgraduate qualification in Administration, Procurement, Business, or strategic Leadership will be an added advantage
- Five (5) to Eight (8) years’ experience in an administration or procurement environment
- Two (2) years’ experience in a Procurement Manager role
