Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) is a semi-autonomous organization of Government, responsible for assessing and collecting tax revenue as well as border administration. BURS invites dynamic, self- motivated and qualified citizens of Botswana to apply for the following positions:

  – PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & IMPROVEMENT COORDINATOR x 1 (GABORONE)

Main Purpose of the Job
To coordinate the implementation of performance management and improvement initiatives within BURS to ensure their effectiveness in enhancing BURS’ productivity.
To initiate business process changes in conjunction with the Transformation & Modernisation Office to enhance efficiency and facilitate the development of a high performance culture within the organisation.

Key Performance Areas
1.
Effective implementation of BURS’ Performance Management System (PMS)
2.
Clear performance targets and measures for individual staff members
3.
Clear linkages between the organisation’s strategic and annual business plan, Divisional plans and individual performance contracts
4.
Regular individual, and Divisional performance review reports
5.
Quality of advice and performance management and improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
6.
Re-engineered business processes to reduce turnaround times
7.
Quality Customer service

Position Requirements
Qualifications: Degree in Human Resource Management/ Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development (OD) or related qualification.
Experience: Degree Holders: At least four (4) years relevant experience in diverse human resources practices, two (2) of which should have been at Senior Officer level or equivalent in the area of performance management and improvement with technical knowledge of performance management interventions and processes including strategy formulation, measurement development, performance contract design, performance analysis, and performance based rewards management. Knowledge of the Balanced Scorecard will be an added advantage.

Salary: BURS 05 (P352, 404 – P469, 608 per annum)
