PART-TIME LECTURER IN PHARMACY– (1 YEAR CONTRACT POSITION)

The University of Botswana invites suitable candidates for the post of Part-time Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy.
Main purpose of the job: to coordinate and teach pharmacology course for nursing degree programme (Hon) (part-time).
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) undertake the teaching of pharmacology course for nursing programme (Hon) based in the School of Pharmacy; (ii) support learning activity through tutorials and workshops (iii) assess work and progress of students. (iv)Set and moderate examinations papers and results (v) supervise and mentor learners.
Requirements: Applicants should possess: (i) a PhD in Pharmacology or related; (ii) a Master’s degree or equivalent in the area of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics or related (iii) a relevant first degree in Pharmacy with adequate pharmacology modules (iv) evidence of governance and social engagement in Pharmacy Practice related fields, as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be added advantages.
N.B Candidates with a Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Clinical pharmacy and therapeutics or related courses or a degree in Pharmacy as the highest degree may be considered provided that the applicant has a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with at least a 2(i) pass or equivalent.
