Main Purpose of the Job
Responsible for managing the organisation’s sales development, staff coaching, key account managers and management of key sales initiatives. The Manager, Sales works hand-in-hand with the Marketing & Public Relations and Banking Operation’s divisions to drive organisational revenue growth and increased financial inclusion efforts.
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Translate the organisation’s revenue goals into sales targets for sales team and develop tactical interventions to achieve targets.
- Monitor and drive sales performance across the entire retail channel.
- Oversee the lead generation process.
- Create sales guidelines in line with best practice and rollout guidelines to improve sales performance.
- Create market-wide sales events and work with Marketing and Public Relations division to develop and rollout marketing campaigns which drive sales.
- Provide existing clients with quality service and manage all aspects of the customer relationship.
- Work with Marketing & Public Relations and Strategy & Customer Excellence to expand the organisation’s customer base.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Public Relations and Strategy & Customer Excellence divisions to ensure a uniform customer experience and organisational branding across all channels.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance of the organisation’s retail offerings.
- Collaborate with Strategy & Customer Excellence and Marketing and Public Relations departments as well as Manager, Product Development to identify and develop offerings to increase financial inclusion and grow organisational revenue and profit.
- Identify growth opportunities within the market and monitor new products and competition status.
- Monitor competitor activity and remain abreast of developments across the industry.
- Prepare sales statements and reports to share with senior management.
UNDERTAKE OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES AS DIRECTED BY HEAD, RETAIL BANKING AND SALES
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Strategic management or related area.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related would be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Five (5) years’ experience in a consumer sales and development role at a retail bank or other mass market financial institution, including at least two (2) years at a supervisory level.
