LECTURER OR SENIOR LECTURER – COMPUTING (THREE (3) YEARS RENEWABLE CONTRACT)
Main Purpose of the Job:
To develop and produce learning and teaching material, support Programme Leaders and/or Coordinators and other members of the academic team with student induction, student remediation, academic counselling, student surveys and module evaluation in order to ensure that delivery of teaching, learning and assessments is efficient and in accordance with the College’s strategy, policy and procedures.

Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer science/ Computer Application/Computer Systems Engineering/Data Science or related field
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) or other teaching qualification
- Membership of a relevant professional body
- BQA accreditation (or accreditation from a recognized qualification authority)
- Industry certification a relevant area would be an added advantage
- At least four (4) years of post-qualification experience in educational planning and management, two (2) of which should have been teaching at the position of Lecturer
- Operational knowledge of applicable legislation and relevant academic policies, standards and programmes, student administration and management, academic assessments, research, curriculum development, and learning and teaching management.
- The successful candidate must have demonstrable knowledge in teaching and research supervision in; Project Management, Business Information Systems Strategy, E-Commerce; Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems; Data Science, Business Intelligence ;Data Analytics, Big Data; IoT, Software Engineering Frameworks; Algorithms and Data Structures; Cloud Technology, Infrastructure and Solutions modules among others.
Experience for Senior Lecturer
In addition to the above Lecturer experience;
- At least four (6) years of post-qualification experience in educational planning and management, three (3) of which should have been teaching at the minimum position of Lecturer
- Advanced knowledge of applicable legislation and relevant academic policies, standards and programmes, student administration and management, academic assessments, research, curriculum development, and learning and teaching management.
- The successful candidate must have demonstrable knowledge in teaching and research supervision in; Project Management, Business Information Systems Strategy, E-Commerce; Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems; Data Science, Business Intelligence ;Data Analytics, Big Data; IoT, Software Engineering Frameworks; Algorithms and Data Structures; Cloud Technology, Infrastructure and Solutions modules among others.
