The Junior Technical Sales Executive shall perform Sales Management Activities and build up a portfolio of customer accounts or specific projects.

Execute a sales plan to meet semi-annual sales targets.
Identify and engage potential clients with a focus on established and mature clients.
Provide technical support to existing clients to help them further their development.
Review and adjust the price structure, including volume incentives.
Prepare and submit quotations.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with both existing and new clients.
Follow up on quotations and proposals submitted.
Present products to clients and provide technical training as required.
Report weekly to the line manager on work plans, progress, challenges, and solutions.

Portfolio Geographies
Sales Management activities will primarily cover the following Southern African markets, with priority given to:

Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa and Botswana.

Location and Travels
The Technical Sales Executive would be based in Gaborone, Botswana. This role requires frequent travel by road to existing and potential clients in neighboring countries.
Expect to travel 8-10 weeks per year or more.

Compensation
Monthly base fee + sales commission structure. This is an independent consultant contract, not an employee position.

Expenses
Flights and hotel/Airbnb accommodations will be organized and paid by the company or its local partner. A travel expense advance may be provided if the Junior Technical Sales Executive uses their own vehicle and Airbnb for accommodation. Local transport, communication, and other small expenses will be reimbursed afterward.

Duration
Six-month contract, renewable indefinitely based on performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business management, sales, electrical/electronics engineering, or a related field.
One to two years of work experience in technical sales or business development.
Experience in the renewable sector, preferably in the inverter-chargers and lithium batteries segment.
Native or near-native proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Portuguese is an asset.
Proficient in Office 365, email, and Teams.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Experience working in an international setting is an asset.
Legally allowed to work in Botswana. No sponsorship provided.
Driver’s license.
Own vehicle is preferred.
