Heed the call of the wild in the role of Wilderness Botswana’s Impact Manager. In consultation with country leadership, as Impact Manager, your vision and passion for sustainability will drive positive change and increase OWS’ positive effect on biodiversity conservation and community empowerment in the astonishing landscapes of the Okavango Delta, and game-rich Linyanti and Mababe Depression.

REQUIREMENTS

Beyond vision and passion, your outstanding management skills will ensure that, in line with the Group Impact Strategy, a clear structure is implemented for all Impact initiatives and desired outcomes.

You’ll be in your element creating positions and clear lines of communication and responsibility for each of the three impact pillars, namely Educate, Empower and Protect, as defined in the strategy.

HIGH LEVEL FOCUS

You will leverage your 8 – 10 years or more of experience in the private sector to:

  • Implement the Wilderness Group Impact Strategy in order to increase the positive impact that the Botswana business has on biodiversity conservation and community empowerment.
  • Closely co-ordinate all activities and efforts, which will ensure that any negative impacts of the tourism operation are kept to a minimum.
