Health Information Management Officer at Sir KETUMILE MASIRE TEACHING HOSPITAL

Manages clinical data; from collection to storage and it’s transformation to meaningful information for reporting purposes.

Main Duties

• Work with healthcare workers and the Health informatics Manager to remain up to date on patient information by retrieving and securely storing clinical information.
• Document clinical workflows as well as data needs to inform design and development of appropriate health information systems.
• Oversee and manage various aspects of health information management including improving documentation quality and procedures, supporting ICD-10/11 coding, ensuring alignment of health information systems to the Data Protection Act (DPA) and the national eHealth Strategy.
• Support health information systems trainin and participate in research activities

         Experience:

• At least 5 years’ practical experience in relevant field.
• Experience in Health Information System Project Management will be an added advantage.
