HEAD OF RISK AND COMPLIANCE (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
Job Purpose
As the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and play a pivotal role in ensuring NDB’s adherence to processes, procedures, policies, and statutory requirements.
Your primary responsibility will be the development, maintenance, and implementation of a comprehensive risk management, compliance, and financial crime framework. This framework will encompass strategy, policy, processes, procedures, measures, standards, objectives, and governance. You will be the driving force behind identifying key risks across all departments and providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with relevant risk frameworks, policies, and ultimately minimising losses.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor of Risk Management, Bachelor of Commerce Degree, or any relevant degree.
• Sound Knowledge of Botswana regulations e.g., NBFIRA regulations, AML, Data Protection Act.
• 10 years’ relevant experience in a risk management function, preferably in a financial institution of which 5 should be at a senior management level
