The National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) is a body corporate established under the National Arts Council of Botswana Act, No. 10 of 2020. The Council’s mandate is to develop, promote and protect the creative and cultural sector of Botswana through policy, legislation, industry facilitation and various partnerships, programmes, grants, and initiatives. The Council aims to transform the local creative and cultural sector by nurturing excellence and preserving the Nations rich cultural traditions with the goal of building an inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous sector.

FINANCE MANAGER
Reporting to Director Corporate Services
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To plan, coordinate and manage all accounting services to the Council including financial planning, budgeting, payables and receivables processing, fixed asset management, tax planning and management and financial reporting.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Coordinated financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Operational and capital expenditure reviews.
- Management accounting reports.
- Accounting reports in line with internationally recognized standards.
- Compliance with financial management and accounting procedures. Implementation of accounting timetables.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area and Professional Membership of an internationally recognised institution of professional accountants such as ACCA, CIMA, BICA, ICAEW, ICAS, ACPA or equivalent.
- A minimum of ten (10) years proven financial, administrative, post qualification experience of which five (5) years should have been at a management or Supervisory level.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software.
- Proven experience in establishing and implementing financial / accounting policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controls.
