Our Client in Kasane is looking for an enthusiastic passionate executive chef to join their team
ROLE:
- Creating magical food moments
- Training of junior chefs
- Ensuring all dietary requirements are met
- To ensure exceptional food standards
- To Maintain exceptional hygiene standards
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All stock-takes, ordering and purchasing, with help of Management.
- Cost and portioning-management
- Reporting problems in kitchen, staff, or equipment
- Monthly reports and meetings with Management.
- Strict measures to keep food-stock-levels under control
- Safety and Health protocols in place and adhered to.
- To manage all F&B employees reporting to him / her
- Menu-planning according to special diets and seasons
- Planning and delegating all duties for successful Kitchen-operation.
- Any disciplinary actions to be done according to Lodge procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in working in the Tourism industry. (Lodges 4*)
- At least 8 years’ experience as a fully qualified Chef of which at least 3 years must be in a senior management role (Sous Chef or Executive Chef)
- Degree / Diploma in Catering or Culinary Arts
- Driver’s License
- Knowledge in how to deal with staff and guests.
- In Love with making beautiful meals.
- Must be eligible to work in Botswana
Looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, can work under pressure, has a good work-ethic who can guide and train the staff under him/her, can help out in emergencies, no clock watchers. Must be patient, calm, but really excited about creating gorgeous plates of food.
