Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Gaborone is seeking two eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Escort and Administrative Rover.

Duties
This position provides cleared escort services throughout the Post’s secured areas and basic administrative clerical support to offices within the Post as assigned. Assignment or rotation is generally required due to secured escort requirement, clerical staffing gap, or short-term spikes in basic administrative workload. Due to the nature of the duties and the demand fluctuation, the incumbent may work on regular (part-time) or intermittent/irregular (a when actually employed) basis.

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time, upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education Requirements:
High School diploma is required.

Minimum one-year office or administrative work experience is required.

- Current employees who used a hiring preference to gain employment who are within their first 90 calendar days of employment are not eligible. This does not apply when the hiring mechanism is TEMP or the work schedule is intermittent or irregular.
