Main Purpose of the Job

To plan, organise and control electrical installations, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repairs and maintenance of electrical systems in airport buildings and facilities, equipment, machinery and instruments in accordance with approved standards and procedures to assure availability of power, machinery and equipment for safe, secure and efficient airport operations at all times.

Position Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, engineering, or related field from a recognized university.
  • A relevant post graduate qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Registration with Engineers Registration Board (ERB) mandatory.

Professional/Technical:

  • Membership of a recognized professional institution
  • Project management
  • Knowledge of ICAO/IATA regulations, procedures, practices, and manuals
  • Knowledge and application of legal and regulatory frameworks in Botswana.

Experience:

  • A minimum of nine (9) years of relevant post qualification experience in engineering management or related fields of which six (6) years should have been served at supervisory level or role within an aviation environment.
  • Proven experience in project planning and design, technical review, contracts management and practical application of engineering science, technology and project management would be advantageous.
