Job Summary:

 To develop and implement Employee Relations practices which reflect the Company’s Human Resources philosophy, monitor, and maintain the Employee Relations Policies and Procedures necessary to develop mutual trust and co-operation between Management, employees and stakeholders.

 

Key Activities:

  • Analyses the divisional area’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensures sufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
  • Monitors compliance to all collective agreements and recommends any process amendments for discussion between management and the union.
  • Analyses Employee Relations trends mine wide through climate surveys, and various forums and recommends appropriate course of action to management.
  • Provides advice and guidance in all aspects of Employee Relations practices to Human Resources officials and Line Managers and ensures that sound employee relations practices are promoted by line Management.
  • Analyses and compiles employee relations reports, monitors trends, highlights problem areas and makes recommendations to management.
  • Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: 

  • Degree in Social Sciences or Equivalent.
  • 8 years post graduate experience in the Human Resources field with at least 3 years’ experience in employee relations.
  • Understanding of SHE Management Systems (ISO 14001 and 45001).
