DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR (RESEARCH & ENTERPRISE)

Main Purpose of the Job: To provide visionary leadership and strategic management of the University Library digital academic platform. Oversees the implementation of library policies and the development of library’s resources, technology infrastructure, research support, and user services to meet the educational and research goals of the University.

The position reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Research and Enterprise.

Requirements: Applicants must have; i) Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or related field; a PhD qualification will be an added advantage.ii) A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience, five (5) of which should have been at middle management level; iii) Extensive experience in academic library management, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning in information and digital literacy development.  iv) In-depth knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in library and information services; and v) Proficiency in library management systems and digital resource platforms
