Job Purpose
This role reports to the Bancassurance Sales Officer and is responsible for creating customer awareness and selling the NDBIA products & services to potential customers, by matching them with insurance policies in order to grow the customer base.
Key Responsibilities
• To perform door to door sales of NDBIA Bancassurance to ensure convenient service to clients.
• To execute sales objectives through proactive selling, whist following the outlined NDBIA and the Agency sales processes.
• To undertake needs analysis of policy applications and recommend accordingly, selecting the right product solutions based on client specific needs.
• Maximize cross-selling and upselling opportunities through offering of insurance policies and services.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity.
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
• To manage and route client queries effectively and efficiently in line with the NDBIA complaints management process, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to NDBIA and Agency AML policy including adherence to KYC requirements.
• To ensure the effective record keeping of all sales related documents
• To always adhere to customer confidentiality principles.
• To meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, cold calls, warm calls, referrals, and collateral campaigns.
• Identify and understand customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.
• Manage new and existing client relationships.
• Develop and maintain prospect and customer databases.
• Analyze sales activity to identify opportunities for business development.
• Manage and prioritize tasks to meet daily and weekly goals.
Job Requirements
• Certificate of Proficiency in both long and short term will be an added advantage.
• Proven 3-5 years sales experience within the insurance environment is a requirement
