Digital and Graphic Designer 

Role Purpose

To conceptualise, design, and produce visually compelling graphics and digital media content for a variety of uses within the Council including but not limited to multimedia projects, websites, print media, social media platforms and brand campaigns in accordance with the Council’s branding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design graphics and digital media content for a variety of uses including but not limited to websites, print and social media platforms, brand campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions.
  • Prepare briefs for each project and present design ideas to all the relevant stakeholders.
  • Design and produce digital assets such as banners, infographics, animations and videos using relevant software.
  • Edit photos/images to remove blemishes and correct lighting issues.
  • Work with copywriters and creative directors to produce final design.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and align with the Council’s brand standards.

Key Requirements

  • A diploma in digital design, graphic design or a related qualification. A degree in the related field would be preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience in a professional digital design role.
  • A portfolio of previous digital design work to showcase experience and creativity.
  • Solid knowledge of appropriate design software programs.
  • Ability to clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects.
