This position will be responsible for the general upkeep of a plant’s electrical system.

The Dewatering Electrician will perform basic maintenance and help in day-to-day electrical maintenance and repair activities in accordance with safety procedures and housekeeping standards.

  • Responsible for maintenance of electrical infrastructure and electrical systems, switching, and preventative maintenance tasks on MV equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Exercise sound expert judgment with regards to repair versus replacement versus upgrade of components.
  • Align with planned maintenance schedules, including maintenance of relevant records for all winder and electrical equipment and electrical installations in area of responsibility.
  • Perform all activities according to instructions, procedures, and engineering needs.

Qualification & Experience

  • National Craft Certificate (NCC): Electrical
  • Valid Light Duty Vehicles Driver’s License
  • 5 years + continuous experience in plant electrical maintenance
  • Sound knowledge in the maintenance, repairs and fault finding of the processing plant equipment, Motor protection systems, Electrical safety and switching devices and practices, Generators, Pumps, Power circuits and Power transformers.
