Botswana International University Science and Technology is looking for qualified and experienced individual for the below stated position; The position is based at Palapye and is offered on a fixed term contract of up to five (5) years.

Main Purpose Of The Job

To direct the leadership and management of all student affairs and student life matters, including but not limited to residential services, health services, and campus life by providing an enriching and supportive Student Experience with an emphasis on facilitating a high quality student learning experience, excellent support and services for students, and physical facilities, information systems and communication technologies that optimise student engagement. Includes responsibility for the leadership and management of campus life for non-student residents.

Qualifications And Experience


Minimum is Masters Degree in an applicable field such as educational leadership, administration, management, student affairs or relevant field. A Doctorate degree is preferred. Professional/Technical: Experience in a senior level academic position.


At least 10 years of progressive senior level management experience in higher education. Experience in strategic planning, institutional management at tertiary level, in student affairs related operational management, risk management, and in organisational change leadership.

Experience in:

  • Tertiary education governance;
  • Policy development at a high level;
  • Advocacy and student welfare initiatives; and
  • Community engagement.
