DATA ANALYTICS SPECIALIST – 24 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To collect and store data on sales numbers, market research, logistics, linguistics, or other behaviours, including bringing technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design and present it in ways to help the business to make better decision.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Dashboards

Bring key stories within the business to life by visualising corporate operating metrics.
Build and maintains dashboards and presentations for cross functional use catering to all levels of audience. Develops business user facing models that help drive specific action for stakeholders.

Data Mining And Management

Work cross-functionally with the Business to ensure appropriate use of both developed and source data.
Uses Tableau and SQL derive insight from a multitude of different sources through the creative use of complex scripts, functions, and calculated fields.
Partner with core operators of each function to ensure accurate insight into key metrics and develop detailed analysis driving decisions founded in data.
Explore underlying data tables to quickly find anomalies and work cross functionally towards accurate data.

Develop Data Tools/Processes

Create processes to ensure audience is best using tools and reports.
Pioneer the use of new data sets and create processes for reporting and cross functional use.
Implement and maintains systems/processes for data analysis and data management.
Identify trends and develops assumptions to model various strategic initiatives.
Develop predictive models with an emphasis on small business credit modelling

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

Bachelor’s – Finance, Business, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or other related field

Experience

2 – 3 years related experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)
Experience with Different Analytical Tools (Excel Power BI, RapidMiner, R, etc.)
Proficiency with Database Tools (Access, SQL Server, MySQL, Stata, or SPSS etc.)
Knowledge of data types and relational databases, test and control methodologies, experimental design,
BIM and building data preferred.
Knowledge and demonstrated aptitude with Tableau or similar data visualisation software
Knowledge of data quality, including ETL processes
Proficiency in SQL Server BI Stack: SSIS, SSMS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI
