Sefalana Cash & Carry, a leading distributor of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Botswana, has opportunities for CREDITORS CLERKS. The position is tenable at Sefalana Head Office in Gaborone.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
a) Diploma in Accounting & Business Studies, AAT Level 2 or an equivalent qualification.
b) One (1) year work experience in an accounting environment or handling incoming inventories (e.g receiving goods).
c) Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills; and committed to upholding highest standards of honesty and integrity.
d) Computer literate, able to use Microsoft applications and prepared to learn new computer applications.
e) Attentive to details and willing to meet the performance standards that come with the position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Receive mail (source documents) from the branches and resolve any queries that may arise.
b) Capture the creditors’ invoices from the branches into the accounting system – ACCPAC.
c) Match suppliers’ requests for payments with source documents received from the branches.
d) Reconcile supplier statements, invoices/credit notes and indicate payments that are due.
e) Contact suppliers to resolve queries related to invoices, credit notes and remittance advices.
f) File creditors documentation as per the filing system and ensure easy reference/retrieval.
g) Follow-up branches to resolve queries/discrepancies relating to incomplete documentation.
