Credit Collections Officer (6 Months Fixed Term Contract – Gaborone)

Main Purpose
Monitoring and controlling on a daily basis, the out of order accounts and taking appropriate action to normalize the position within pre-determined policy rules and provide administrative assistance to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contacting customers according to guidelines and standards to ensure payment
  • Negotiating payments while continuing to build a positive relationship with customers
  • Liaison with the branch network in monitoring and controlling of customer accounts
  • Investigate and resolve out of order accounts discrepancies
  • Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary
  • Daily suspense account reconciliation
  • Facilitate restructuring process for qualifying accounts

Key Requirements

  • Minimum relevant business degree from a recognized institution
  • 1 year work experience (experience in Banking or Financial Institution will be an added advantage) – minimum 6 months of which must be in Collections and Recoveries
