The National Arts Council of Botswana (NACB) is a body corporate established under the National Arts Council of Botswana Act, No. 10 of 2020.The Council’s mandate is to develop, promote and protect the creative and cultural sector of Botswana through policy, legislation, industry facilitation and various partnerships, programmes, grants, and initiatives. The Council aims to transform the local creative and cultural sector by nurturing excellence and preserving the Nations rich cultural traditions with the goal of building an inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous sector.

CREATIVE AND CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (DISTRICTS X5 POSITIONS)
Reporting to Creative and Cultural Development Coordinator
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To promote and provide services relating to the Council activities and programmes, initiatives, plans and events. The role is also responsible for administrative office duties within the district council office.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Facilitation of NACB programs and initiatives throughout the country.
- Resourced, clean, organised, and well-equipped district council office. Maintain positive image of the Council in all districts.
- Stakeholder facilitation, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Provide input to the coordinator on programmes, initiatives and plans that are relevant to the regions.
- Provide feedback from the districts on programmes, initiatives and plans that the Council undertakes as part of the continuous improvement processes.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- A Degree in Arts or Cultural Studies such as Humanities, Liberal Arts, Fine Arts, Literary Arts, Media Arts, Design Arts, Film / Cinematography, Media Studies and Digital Arts or related fields from a recognised institution.
- Two (2) years’ post qualification experience in facilitating arts and culture programs, projects, events, and initiatives.
