CONTROLLER OF ACCOUNTS (x 5)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified citizens for the above mentioned position tenable in the Ministry of Finance, Office of the Accountant General.
TENABLE AT: (Gaborone x 3, Molepolole, Kanye)
SALARY: D3 (P266, 340 – P293, 640 per annum)
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
BENEFITS: a) Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and Employee pays 50%).
(b) Contributory Pension (Government contributes 15% and employee contributes 5% of salary).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have at least Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies or any Diploma level professional qualification such as AAT Level 4, ACCA, CIMA, and BICA. Applicants must be registered and in good standing with Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The primary purpose of this job is to advise customers on financial and other policy related duties.
DUTIES
1. Advises customers on financial and other policy related issues.
2. Monitors expenditure and revenue.
3. Maintains revenue collectors’ charts and counter foil register.
4. Conducts inspections.
5. Reconciles accounts.
6. Coordinates support of financial systems.
