Main Purpose of the Job
To coordinate and monitor the entire life cycle of contracts within Botswana Savings Bank to ensure that all parties in contracts adhere to their respective obligations.
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- . Monitoring and coordination of contract management to ensure –(a) that there is progress and timely completion of works, services and supplies in accordance with the terms of the contract.
(b) the management of any deviation of a contract by a contractor, including the implementation of any amendment or variation of a contract under these Regulations.
(c) that a contractual obligation is discharged in accordance with the contract.
(d) a monthly submission, review and analysis of the implementation of a contract progress report, including any other related report, and quarterly performance review report, from a project team; and
(e) The submission of a report referred to in paragraph (d) to the Accounting Officer.
2. The monitoring of the performance of a contractor to ensure that a delivery or performance obligation is met, or any action required to be taken is taken by an Accounting Officer if the obligation is not met.
3. Ensuring that a contractor submits any required document.
4. Ensuring that a procuring entity meets any of its payment and any other obligation under a contract
5. Ensuring that there is adequate cost, quality and time control, as may be necessary
6. The preparation of any required contract variation after the approval of an Accounting Officer
7. The submission of any required amendment to a contract
8. The management of any handover or acceptance procedure
9. The submission of any recommendation for the termination of a contract
9.1. Vetting of Contracts drafts and ensuring compliance to the Regulations and Standardized Conditions of Tender.
9.2. Submission of End of Activity Reports (EOAR) to the Manager and PPRA
9.3. Maintaining of all Contracts Records for efficient and effective retrieval upon request.
UNDERTAKE OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES AS DIRECTED BY MANAGER, PROCUREMENT
Position Requirements:
Education:
CIPS Level 6 or bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent. Master’s degree, Certificate in Public Sector and Tender Process Management or Certificate in Procurement Law will be an added advantage
Experience:
At least five (5) years’ experience in supply chain management or contract management.
