Summary

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the position will provide contract analysis, reporting and contract administration services to meet set contractual requirements for efficient business operations. The role provides specialist advice to the business on contract management matters.

Description

The incumbent will be responsible for among others the following;

  • Assists in the execution of BVI service contracts, agreements, amendments, change orders and manage the renewals of those
    agreements.
  • Coordinates all documentation necessary for initiation of contract bids up to the contract signing stage
  • Assists the Procurement Manager in monitoring vendor/supplier performance in relation to contractual agreements as well as in debriefings, resolving disputes, claims, litigation and settlements.
  • Develop and monitor service level Agreements
  • Facilitate outsourcing and manage outsourced services
  • Manages all BVI properties including offices, residential property and ranches
  • Supervise directly engaged companies for cleaning, waste disposal, canteen, parking space and efficient supplies of stores and goods under Property.
  • Carry routine inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff.

Minimum Requirements

The right candidate will possess the following minimum requirements;

  • Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management/Business Adminsitration or related field.
  • Professional Qualification (CIPS Level 6)
  • A post graduate qualification would be added advantage
  • Facilities Management Qualification would be added advantage
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in purchasing/ working in contract law/Facilities Management or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts and public procurement
  • A working knowledge of Public Procurement Act and PPRA Regulations and Procedures is highly preferred
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
