Role Purpose
Reporting to Senior Ethics and Standards Compliance Officer, the successful candidate will be assigned to carry out the section’s activities of compliance assessments and audits in accordance with departmental plans, targets and established policies, processes, and procedures.
Key Performance Areas

Efficient fieldwork on compliance audits.
Timely submission of compliance reports.
Complete and safe records of compliance.
Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
Efficient resolution of compliance queries and issues.
The main duties include but are not limited to:
Monitor and assess teacher conduct against Code of Teaching Professional Ethics.
Receive and assess solicited and unsolicited reports of professional and ethical non-compliance.
Follow up, resolve, and give feedback on lodged complaints from both internal and external customers.
Prepare the departmental dashboard and schedule of the compliance audits, issues, and risk log.
Perform allocated field visits to audit compliance to standards, regulations, and code of conduct.
Perform site visits for purposes of following up on a reported incident or simply assessing the climate for standards of professional and ethical conduct.
Record observations and include supporting documentation as part of the compliance auditing process.
Assess adherence to teaching standards and regulations.
Supervise, monitor and quality assure the work of Officers and maintain open relations with all units.
Assist the supervisor in the preparation and delivery of training across the Council on issues of ethical conduct and required compliance.
Document working papers and draft reports on issues identified during site visits with recommendations.
Draft consolidated weekly and monthly reports for review and input by the supervisor.
File compliance audit plans, programs, working papers, evidence, and reports in accordance with set procedures.

Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Science, Compliance, Audit, Ethical Leadership / Applied Ethics or related areas.
A minimum of two (2) years post qualifying experience.
