Job Description

Commercialisation and Partnerships Manager

Role Purpose

To plan, organise and manage the Council’s commercialisation and partnerships, grants and funds administration as well as product development in support of the creative and cultural sector and in accordance with the Council’s mandate and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a commercialisation strategy of the sector to enhance the sector’s contribution towards economic and social development.
  • Establish networks and partnerships locally and internationally to support the Council in commercialising the sector through collaboration, funding, programmes and expertise.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at soliciting corporate financial investment in the arts and culture sector.
  • Develop and implement policies on grant and fund administration and disbursement.
  • Collaborate with industry specialists to identify impactful and sustainable enhancements to various arts and culture products in the market.
  • Facilitate the preparation and availability of product enhancement information, toolkits and support services available to artists and other sector participants.

Key Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Commerce or related fields from a recognised institution.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience relevant to role.
  • Experience in business development including developing commercial strategies and partnerships at a senior level.
  • Experience in grant administration/management and product development would be an added advantage.
