Commercial Contracts Officer (5 Year Contract)
Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the candidate will be required to assist in the ongoing management and monitoring of BoFiNet contracts established to deliver outcomes that effectively meet organisational objectives, business requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Commercial contract drafting: Draft a wide range of contracts (such as; MSAs, MoUs, MoAs and associated contracting documents such as SLAs, COFs, Service Schedules, Operations & Maintenance agreements for indefeasible rights of use services) at moderate to more complex level
- Commercial contract management: Develop policies and process to Manage delivery/performance, Assess risk and put in place mitigating remedies, Assess claims and prepare submissions re claim to decision makers, Manage variation process, Manage dispute resolution process.
- Supplier Settlements or Accounting: Maintain regular reconciliation of supplier accounts, reduce, eliminate or avoid overdue and disputed amounts.
- Customer Relationship Management: resolve queries and issues for internal and external clients in defined interactions. The ability to listen to the client, actively understand the client’s perspective, clarify and summarize client needs and expectations, provide accurate information and communicate in a sincere and courteous manner. Take personal responsibility for client satisfaction. Delight the client by exceeding their needs, expectations and current standards, resolving the matter promptly and efficiently; generate mutually beneficial solutions. The ability to keep the client up to date, commit until completion and ensure that customer needs have been met.

Academic Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have attained the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Economics or related fields.
- Minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in a commercially oriented environment
