fuel supply, managing government strategic fuel reserves, and facilitating active citizen involvement in the petroleum industry.

CHIEF STRATEGY AND SUSTAINABILITY OFFICER (Re-Advertisement)
The role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and coordination for the BOL’s Corporate Strategy, New Ventures
activities, Sustainability (Environment, Social and Governance) initiatives, marketing and communications activities, as well as the strategic
oversight of the Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) and Enterprise Risk Management functions, in accordance with
the corporate strategy, policies, guidelines, goals, and objectives as established from time to time to ensure successful implementation of the
BOL mandate.

• Corporate strategy development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Economic research and business development
• Identification and maximisation of revenue generation opportunities.
• Availability and effectiveness of the Sustainability Strategy (ESG).
• Organisation’s sustainable business reputation.
• Return on Investment of strategic initiatives
• Risk management and strategic compliance.
• Communication of operational plans and projects.
• Highest health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) standards for all BOL operations in accordance with established
international standards.
• Enhanced shareholder value and return on capital employed.
• Improved Company gross margin.
• Effective risk management in support of business operations.
• Organisational performance and effectiveness.
• Effective stakeholder relations, communications, marking and brand visibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Management, Economics, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business Leadership
or any related field.
• A Master’s Degree in a related field would be an added advantage.
• Membership of a relevant professional body in good standing
• At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience, five (5) of which should have been at a senior management level.
• Experience in petroleum or mining-based industries would be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of strategy, sustainability, and climate change issues impacting business and the petroleum sector.
• Knowledge of ESG standards, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
