Purpose of the Role
To ensure safe, reliable, cost-effective aviation service to the operations and Debswana
Key Job Responsibilities
- Attends to relevant administration function of the section
- Ensures operational effectiveness of the airfield and navigational aids
- Flies company aircraft to prescribed destination taking in cognizance of weather, fuel,flying time,weight etc in accordance with set standard
- Reviews and updates all Aviation( NOTAMS/AICs and JEPPESEN) manual etc to keep abreast of current information regarding flying in particular and aviation in general.
- Checking and ensuring that immigration and customs officers attend to airport to undertake formalities for aircrew and passengers . Supervising fueling of aircraft and inspections by ground staff to each flight
- Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance
- Manages subordinate’s key effectiveness area by setting, monitoring and reviewing performance and taking remedial action as necessary
- Completing all documents for clearance of aircraft and passengers for each flight through official concerned e.g filing of flight plans
- Coordinates and monitors the implementation of safety, health and environmental programs in area of responsibility taking cognizance of all legal requirements.
Education
- O Levels or BGCSE or equivalent
Experience
5 years flying experience with at least 2 years as a Senior First Officer on Company aircraft or equivalent corporate flying.
A minimum of 3000 hours flying hours as a Senior First Officer on a turbine-powered aircraft.
At least 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on a multi turbine or jet aircraft
Rating on BE20 and/or B190 with at least 300 hours PIC on either
Legal Certification/Professional Registration
- Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
- Drivers License – Class B
