Main Purpose of the Role
The Manager, Branch, plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of a small to medium sized branch, adapting to the changing landscape of banking and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This management position focuses on overseeing day-to-day operations, driving sales, and fostering a customer-centric culture within the branch. The Manager, Branch, will contribute significantly to the success of the branch by providing effective leadership, driving operational efficiency, and embracing the future of banking. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong management skills, critical thinking and analysis skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to lead teams through changes in the banking sector.
Job Description
Education
Commercial Degree as a minimum entry – Business management, Commerce, accounting, Finance data and analytics etc. Master’s degree or related further study an advantage.
Experience
4 years’ experience in banking or related field, 2 of which should be in managerial role.
- Understanding of market trends, customer trends, CLM, regulatory and risk environment key.
- Process/ data/ automation/ project management experience an advantage.
- Strong experience in branch leadership, operations management, sales and customer service.
- Financial and Business Acumen with expert knowledge of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and returns based on expert product knowledge.
- Market Analysis and data analysis, for customer segmentation and sales approach, including use of sales and CRM tools
- Financial Analysis for product profitability and mix required to drive the required mix from a revenue, client and returns point of view.
- Ability to build appropriate measuring and monitoring tools to assess the effectiveness of various sales interventions and measure performance.
- Expert knowledge of the banks products and systems, with an ability to be able to train sales teams.
- Marketing skills
- Understanding of Risk Management, compliance and regulatory Principles and tools.
- Digital and automation savvy to from a client and internal perspective as bank become digitally led.
