Purpose
An Allocator plays a vital role in supporting inventory management and sales strategies.
This position typically involves collaboration with various departments to ensure optimal product availability and alignment with business goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels across all stores, ensuring that products are available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and markdowns.
• Execute accurate allocation and replenishment of stock including consolidation of stock to stores to ensure optimal stock levels to achieve the required sales targets within the merchandise plans.
• Re-distribution and consolidation of stock to correct stores
• Work with buyers, administrators and other stakeholders to coordinate product assortments, manage seasonal distributions, and support promotional activities.
• Generate weekly, monthly and seasonally reports on inventory performance, sales trends, and forecasts to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Report store performance with data tables and proposed actions at post seasonals
Minimum Requirements & Experience
• A Diploma/bachelor’s degree in business/Retail Merchandising/Supply Chain Management, or a related field qualification.
• Previous experience as an Allocator Apparel is of advantage
• Experience of 1 – 3 yrs in retail planning, merchandise or inventory management
• Analytical skills, communication skills and attention to details are also important
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel, data analysis and ERP systems
